An overnight single-vehicle crash at 55th and Freeman took the life of one person and left two passengers with life-threatening injuries.
According to a Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department spokesman, dispatchers received a call about 2:50 a.m. Oct. 27 from a passerby that a car had crashed into a tree.
When officers arrived, they found three victims inside the vehicle, the spokesman stated. Two were extricated and taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and a third was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the spokesman.
The incident is under investigation by the KCKPD Traffic Division. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477), the spokesman stated.
