Kansas City, Kansas, police officers broke up a disturbance by juveniles on Saturday night at The Legends Outlets area.
According to a news release that was posted on the police department’s Facebook page, officers were dispatched to The Legends Outlets around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27, on reports of a disturbance from a large group of juveniles.
Police had been told that one of the juveniles was armed with a gun, according to the police statement.
When officers arrived, they located the juvenile who had been reported armed, and he tried to flee, police stated.
He was taken into custody and found to have four air soft pistols in his possession, according to the police statement.
Officers also responded to Walmart at 10824 Parallel Parkway and found there was no disturbance, according to the statement. Officers dispersed the crowd with no further incidents, according to police.
