While headed northbound on I-635, officers observed a motorcycle gaining on them at a high rate of speed, the police spokesman said.

The motorcycle then rear-ended a Ford Ranger, police said. Officers gave cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the driver of the motorcycle, but he was dead on the scene, the spokesman said.
