Leadership 2000 Class 28 tonight presented 8th Street YMCA and Associated Youth Services with a check for the Night Hoops program. At the check presentation were, left to right, Barbara Rodgers with YMCA; Simon Henderson, manager; Jake Miller, Leadership 2000; and Dennis Vanderpool, Associated Youth Services CEO. The program, now in its second session, is for youth who want to play basketball on Friday nights after they go through a leadership exercise. The program was created with the help of Leadership 2000 Class 28 in collaboration with the Y and AYS. The check will sponsor the third session of Night Hoops next year. (Photo by William Crum)
