A new Wyandotte County testing site for COVID-19 is scheduled to open at 3 p.m. Monday at the All Saints Parish parking lot, 811 Vermont Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
According to a Unified Government Health Department post on social media, the testing site will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday.
To be tested, residents must have had symptoms, according to information posted by the Health Department.
The residents must have had one symptom of fever, dry cough or difficulty breathing. Or the residents must have had two symptoms of body aches, sore throat, sudden lack of sense of taste or smell, nausea, diarrhea and tiredness, according to the post.
Those who do not have any symptoms cannot be tested, according to the Health Department post.
All Saints Parish Ministry of Health, Vibrant Health, the Unified Government Public Health Department, and the Health Equity Task Force are working together on the testing.
Testing is free for persons without health insurance. People who have insurance should bring their insurance cards.
Registration is necessary, and to register, persons should call 913-709-2710.
The Health Department also is continuing its drive-up and walk-up testing from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the UG Health Department parking lot, 619 Ann Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
The free Health Department clinic on Ann Avenue is for Wyandotte County residents who have had symptoms in the last 48 hours. No appointment is needed.
