Kansas City, Kan., police today released the name of a shooting victim Sept. 6 in the 3000 block of South 46th Terrace in Kansas City, Kan.
The victim was Jennifer Combs, 45, a police spokesman said.
Police are investigating her death as a possible homicide.
Her body was discovered by a 17-year-old daughter, who came home from school to find her mother and stepfather dead inside the residence.
A police spokesman said the initial investigation revealed that both the mother and stepfather died from gunshot wounds. The Police Department is investigating it as a murder-suicide, but cannot confirm it as a murder-suicide until the investigation is complete, the spokesman said.
