Charges have been filed by District Attorney Mark Dupree against three persons in the murder of Jo’Shawn Garrett on Tuesday, Aug. 13, in Kansas City, Kansas.
First-degree murder charges were filed Monday against the three, Demetri D. Irvin, Dai’leon Kaine Henderson and Tobias Jebrel Womack, according to court documents.
The three defendants also face counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied building or vehicle, and aggravated battery.
In addition, one defendant, Irvin, faces a criminal possession of firearm charge in this case.
Police reported last week that Garrett, age 17, a Kansas City, Kansas, resident, was riding in the back seat of a vehicle that was eastbound on Parallel between 38th and 18th streets on the night of Aug. 13 when he was hit by bullets and died from his injuries.
