A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash on July 5 on I-670 just east of the I-70 and I-670 split in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s crash report.
The accident was at 10:31 p.m. July 5 on westbound I-670.
Both vehicles were westbound on I-670, according to the trooper’s report. The motorcycle was traveling too fast and failed to negotiate the curve, striking a Ford F150 truck, the report stated.
Both vehicles then hit the inside barrier wall, the trooper’s report stated.
The motorcyclist, a 16-year-old Kansas City, Missouri male, had a possible serious injury and was taken to the hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the truck, a 32-year-old Topeka, Kansas, man, was not injured, according to the report.
Passengers in the truck also were not injured, including a 30-year-old Topeka woman; a 3-year-old Topeka boy; and a 1-year-old Topeka girl, according to the report.
