After receiving a dusting or less than an inch of snow on Monday night, Wyandotte County’s forecast calls for more snow tonight, with 1 to 2 inches possible, according to the National Weather Service.
Most areas will average about one inch of snow, the weather service said.

This morning, the upper level system that was the catalyst for Monday’s snow across the northern part of the state will move through the region, allowing for light snow and drizzle to fall across parts of the area, according to the weather service. The system will quickly pull off to the northeast today and weaken. This will bring precipitation to an end across the forecast area by late morning.
A quick-moving mid-level trough that resides over the western Rockies this morning will move into the region tonight, the weather service said, allowing light snow to develop. It is expected to produce snow totals of a half-inch to two inches. The quick-moving system will exit the area by Wednesday afternoon, but it could cause issues for the Wednesday morning commute, according to the weather service.
Temperatures will not make it out of the freezer today, as the high will be near 31, according to the forecast. Tonight’s low will be around 21, and Wednesday, the high will be 29, making it one of the coldest days so far this winter.
Thursday will be a 12-degree temperature change, with a high near 41, the weather service said.
The weekend temperatures will be almost springlike, with a high of 53 on Saturday, before falling again to 43 on Sunday, according to the weather service.
Today, it will be cloudy with a high near 31 and a north wind of 7 to 9 mph, the weather service said.
Tonight, there is an 80 percent chance of snow, mainly after 9 p.m., with a low of 21, according to the weather service. A northeast wind will be around 8 mph. From 1 to 2 inches of snow are possible.
