Monarchs planning ‘Dotte Proud’ night Friday

The Kansas City Monarchs, after a rainout on Thursday night, are planning a “Dotte Proud” night at 7 p.m. Friday, July 16.

The Monarchs will play the Kane County Cougars at 7 p.m.

The Houston Apollos and Monarchs will make up the rained-out game at a date still to be determined.

It will be the first trip ever for the Kane County Cougars to Legends Field in Kansas City, Kansas. Gates will open at 6 p.m.

There will be pre-game skydivers, and the first 1,000 fans in the gate will get a free “Dotte Proud” t-shirt.

COVID-19 vaccines will be available at the Monarchs baseball game at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Legends Field. Those vaccinated will receive a gift and be eligible to enter a raffle to win a 20-person suite at a future baseball game.
