A late-night crash killed one and sent three other persons to the hospital, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
While on patrol at 11:23 p.m. Saturday, police officers found a two-vehicle crash in the 6700 block of Parallel Parkway. Fire and EMS were dispatched to the accident.
Three persons, including two minors and one adult, were taken to area hospitls with serious injuries, the police spokesman stated. A third person, a minor, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the spokesman.
An initial investigated indicated that speed may have been a factor in the crash, police stated. The westbound lanes from 64th to 68th streets were closed for several hours for the investigation.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Traffic Division is investigating. Anyone with information on the case may call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, police said.
