Memorial

A temporary roadside memorial is at the crosswalk at 54th and Leavenworth Road near where a crossing guard, Bob S. Nill, 88, was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday, Feb. 18. He prevented two children from going into the path of a vehicle. Nill was taken to a hospital, where he died. His visitation was being held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 53rd and Leavenworth Road. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the church.
