Mayoral candidate forum planned Friday, July 23

A mayoral candidate forum is planned from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Eisenhower Recreation Center, 2901 N. 72nd St., Kansas City, Kansas.

Candidates for mayor of Kansas City, Kansas, have been invited to the nonpartisan forum.

The forum will be in person and also on Zoom. A panel will ask the candidates questions. Afterward, there will be an opportunity for people to meet the candidates.

The forum and reception were sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Mu Omega Chapter, and by the Metropolitan Leadership Institute. UG Commissioner Mike Kane, Fifth District, provided cookies for the reception.

Those who attend in person will be asked to wear a mask and socially distance.
