The public is invited to join Mayor-CEO David Alvey at meetings in March and April for a presentation of his vision for Kansas City, Kansas, his thoughts on the city’s current financial situation, where the city must go from here and how the city can get where it needs to be.
The mayor’s presentation will emphasize the community’s financial forecast and growth through economic development.
Following the presentation, meeting participants with questions regarding the Unified Government and its services will be able to visit one-on-one with representatives from 11 departments: the Mayor’s Office, Animal Services, Appraiser’s Office, Code Enforcement, Economic Development, Livable Neighborhoods, Parks and Recreation, Planning and Zoning, Police, Public Works, and the Sheriff’s Office.
Representatives from the Board of Public Utilities and some area school districts will also be available.
The mayor will hold five “KCK at a Crossroads” community meetings. The meetings will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on these dates:
