May revenues up at Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway

Casino revenues are up for May at the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, according to a Kansas Lottery Commission report.

Revenues were $13,535,920 in May at Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., as compared with $12,517,746 in April, according to lottery figures announced Wednesday.

Two other casinos in Kansas also had increased revenues, according to the report.

April revenues at the Boot Hill Casino at Dodge City, Kan., were $3,454,349, and at the Kansas Star Casio at Mulvane, Kan., $15,707,395, as compared with May revenues of $3,732,096 at Boot Hill Casino, and $16,889,552 at Kansas Star Casino.

Gaming revenue for May at Hollywood Casino also increased $1.9 million, or 15.9 percent, over May of last year, according to a written report by Bob Sheldon, Hollywood Casino vice president and general manager, to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission.

Sheldon stated that the Kansas Speedway’s national televised night race on Saturday, May 9, helped drive additional retail traffic to the casino.

The casino also had several promotional offers during the month, and a “Spring into Summer” drawing was held May 29.
