Adalberto Mata-Deras was sentenced to 406 months in prison on Feb. 8 in connection with sexual assault cases at the Woodview Apartments.
Mata-Deras was convicted on April 19, 2018, of two counts of rape, one count of aggravated sexual battery, three counts of aggravated burglary and one count of interference with a law enforcement officer, according to the spokesman for Wyandotte County District Attorney Mark Dupree.
The sexual assaults occurred from August 2014 to October 2017 at the Woodview Apartment Complex in the Rosedale area of Kansas City, Kansas.
Mata-Deras was apprehended in April 2017, in part because of DNA evidence linking him to the apartment of a victim.
Mata-Deras will be subject to lifetime post-release supervision and lifetime registration as a sex offender, according to the district attorney’s spokesman.
