An injury accident was reported about 5:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, on I-35 just north of the 18th Street Expressway in Kansas City, Kan.
Drivers in some areas were facing slick and snowy conditions on Monday.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Ford 500 and a semi truck were traveling southbound on I-35 when the Ford 500 lost control, struck the barrier wall and then came back into traffic in front of the semi. The semi then struck the Ford 500, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Ford 500, a 29-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo., was injured and taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Kan., according to the report.
The driver of the semi, a 29-year-old man from Palmyra, Mo., was not injured, according to the report.
