Man extradited to Wyandotte County in connection with Bonner Springs robbery

A man faces charges of aggravated robbery in connection with an incident March 15 in Bonner Springs.

James A. Vaughan, 49, was arrested in Missouri this past weekend, and today was transported by deputies to the Wyandotte County Jail.

He was booked into the jail and is being held on a $75,000 bond in connection with an aggravated robbery March 15 at Advance America, 608 Tulip, Bonner Springs. The warrant also said he is being held for kidnapping.

More than $1,300 was taken in the robbery, according to authorities.

Authorities said the suspect carried a long-barreled gun during the robbery. Bonner Springs police had issued an arrest warrant for Vaughan and sought the public’s assistance in locating him on March 19.

Vaughan will make his first court appearance on Wednesday.
