Police said a man in his early 20s died after his car struck a telephone pole near 18th and State Avenue at 1:43 a.m. Monday, March 30.
Police said the victim had been traveling north on 18th Street when his vehicle hit the telephone pole.
The identity of the victim will not be released pending positive identification and family notification.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit – Critical Collision Response Team, according to a police spokesman.
