Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome A. Gorman today charged Franklin Bryant Jr., 45, with second-degree murder in connection with the Jan. 5 shooting death of Jerome Simmons.
The shooting occurred at a residence in the 1100 block of Kimball Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.
Bryant is in the Wyandotte County Jail. Bond was set at $250,000, according to the district attorney’s office. Bryant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department is investigating the case.
