Antione Ramon Fielder, 27, was charged with first-degree murder and criminal possession of a firearm in connection with the June 30 shooting death of Kelsey Ewonus near Francis and Bristow streets in Kansas City, Kan.
Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome A. Gorman filed the charges on Friday evening.
Ewonus, 22, a resident of Overland Park, was found dead inside a vehicle at the intersection, from an apparent gunshot wound, police said last week.
Fielder is currently in the Wyandotte County Jail. Bond was set at $1 million. The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department is investigating the case.
