Man accused of firearms violation

Paxton L. Graves, 25, has been charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

The crime is alleged to have occurred Oct. 16, 2014, in Mission, Kan.

If convicted, Graves faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.

The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Zabel is prosecuting.
