The Kansas Department of Transportation will conduct maintenance projects, Wednesday, March 25 in Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties, weather permitting, according to a KDOT spokesman.
Southbound U.S. 69 – 18th Street at Merriam Lane will be reduced to one lane for pipe maintenance work, from 8 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, to Friday, March 27.
Northbound 7th Street – U.S. 69 will have the left lane closed, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, from Metropolitan Avenue to Osage Street, for a bridge inspection.
Eastbound U.S. 24-40, between Tonganoxie and U.S. 73, will have alternating lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, for pothole patching.
Southbound U.S. 73, south of Lansing to U.S. 24-40 will have alternating lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, for pothole patching.
Traffic will be controlled by mobile lane closures using traffic cones, trucks with arrow boards and digital message boards, according to the KDOT spokesman.
KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone, the spokesman stated.
