The Kansas City, Kan., Public Library will hold an exhibit of paintings by local artist Kermit Dyer.
Titled “Wings of Freedom,” the exhibit will be on display in the Café at the Main Library: 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan. An artist reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 17, and all are welcome to attend.
Kermit Dyer specializes in creating watercolor images of World War II military aircraft.
“I especially like to talk to those who flew in them and to hear their stories. It has given me the opportunity to see just how brave these young men were and the great responsibilities they took on when many were not much more than teenagers” Dyer said about his subjects.
His work will be on display July 9– Aug. 6.
