Live eagle viewing is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 25 and 26, at Kaw Point Park, 1401 Fairfax, Kansas City, Kansas.
Sponsored by the Friends of Kaw Point Park, this event will include hosted outdoor viewing stations. Spotters will be at the park.
In addition, there will be a wienie roast and hot cider provided in a warming hut.
Kaw Point Park, near I-70 and Fairfax Trafficway, is at the confluence of the Missouri and Kansas rivers in Kansas City, Kansas. A large number of eagles are currently nesting along the Kaw, and are seeking the fish found in the river.
