Linemen came from all over the world to compete in the annual Lineman’s Rodeo held Saturday at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs, Kan.

This is no amateur sport. The best of the best compete.

The rodeo brings back memories of my uncle Don, who was a lineman for the Board of Public Utilities. He had plenty of stories to tell about his experiences.

It fascinated me to find out what linemen had to go through.

From what I understand, the linemen from the Board of Public Utilities did really well at the rodeo, something we can be proud of.

Even though the next one is another year away, put it on your calendar to attend the lineman’s rodeo in another 12 months.
