Light snow possible today


Light snow is still in today’s National Weather Service forecast, although the forecast says the chances are better (70 percent to 80 percent) that snow won’t fall.

According to the weather service, there is a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain and snow between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. today.

The possible light snow could reduce visibility and make roads slick in some places, according to the weather service.

Temperatures were at 44 degrees at 8 a.m. and were expected to drop to about 33 degrees by 5 p.m., the weather service said. Overnight, the low will be about 20 degrees.

It will be windy today, with gusts from the north up to 26 mph, according to the weather service.

Saturday, the high will be near 41 with sunny skies and a north northeast wind of 5 to 7 mph, the weather service said.

Saturday night, there is a 10 percent chance of snow after 1 a.m., with a low of 30, according to the weather service.

Sunday, there is a 60 percent chance of snow showers before 11 a.m., then rain and snow likely between 11 a.m. and noon, the weather service said. Rain is likely after noon. The high will be near 41 with a south southeast wind of 8 to 11 mph. Less than an inch of snow is expected.

Sunday night, there is a 20 percent chance of rain and snow after 4 p.m. Temperatures will drop to about 33 by 5 p.m., according to the weather service. There will be a north wind of 13 to 17 mph, gusting as high as 26 mph.

Monday, the high will be near 47 with partly sunny skies, the weather service said.

Monday night, the low will be around 28 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.
