Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area and the Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library will hold a panel discussion on the Quindaro townsite at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at the Main Library, 625 Minnesota Ave.
The townsite was designated a National Commemorative Site earlier this year. Jim Ogle, FFNHA executive director will lead a discussion about the future of the townsite and the community’s efforts to make the ruins a National Historic Landmark.
Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area is dedicated to building awareness of the struggles for freedom in western Missouri and eastern Kansas.
