Larry the Cable Guy is the grand marshal for the annual Go Bowling 400 race at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.

Also known as Daniel Lawrence Whitney, he spoke about what it takes to be involved in NASCAR and his involvement today at the Speedway.

He also talked about how he’s going to do the voice of Mater in the movie called “Cars 3,” a Disney production. He did the same voice in two earlier “Cars” movies.

When asked if he was going to do another Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Larry said maybe in five years.

“We really enjoyed doing it and hopefully we will be doing it in five years if everything turns out that way,” he said.

When asked what he thought of the Kansas Speedway, Larry said it was a great place.

“The people are really great,” he said, “the fans are fantastic and so is the staff.”
