Lansing walk-away inmate apprehended

A minimum-custody inmate at Lansing Correctional Facility, Joshua W. Renfro, was apprehended on Monday night by law enforcement officials in Leavenworth County, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.

Renfro was arrested on a KDOC escape warrant without incident, according to a KDOC news release.

He had been placed on escape status after he walked away from the minimum security unit at LCF on Oct. 24.
