K-7 in Wyandotte County will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Monday, July 13, to Saturday, July 18, weather permitting, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The lane reductions are necessary for paving, traffic sign loop installation, shoulder work, grinding bumps and striping, according to a spokesman.
KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone, according to the spokesman. To stay aware of all road construction projects across Kansas go to www.kandrive.org or call 5-1-1. The motorists are urged to drive safely and always wear their seat belts, the spokesman stated.
