Swept at perennial power Cowley College Wednesday, Kansas City Kansas Community College will get an immediate chance to bounce back when the Lady Blue Devils play host to their annual Blue Devil Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Ranked No. 11 nationally, Cowley (14-3) ran its winning streak to 13 in a row 25-17, 25-22, 25-19 and remained unbeaten in Jayhawk Conference play at 3-0. The loss dropped KCKCC to 1-3 in conference play and 3-5 overall.

“Cowley is a very good team. There’s a reason they’re ranked No. 11,” KCKCC coach Mary Bruno said. “We just have to have more intensity and make better decisions on our side of the net.”
