Dr. Dana Hawkinson, medical director of infection prevention and control at The University of Kansas Health System, will appear on a nationally televised program, “One World Together at Home.”
The program brings together performing artists, health professionals and world leaders to raise funds for health care professionals and the World Health Organization during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program will use live streaming.
The program is scheduled to be on ABC, CBS and NBC, and other networks, at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 18. Lady Gaga headlines the performers, who also include Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Ellen DeGeneres, Elton John, LL Cool J, Matthew McConaughey, Oprah Winfrey, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and many others.
There will be appearances by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.
Dr. Hawkinson has regularly commented on COVID-19 during daily news conferences at the University of Kansas Health System.
