Kickboxing, boxing and mixed martial arts coming to CommunityAmerica Ballpark Sept. 30

The Kansas City T-Bones will be the host of a Mixed Martial Arts Fight Night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The T-Bones along with Carden Combat Sports will present a fight card featuring over a dozen matches of MMA, boxing and kickboxing with a ring and cage 10 feet apart.

According to the promoter’s website, the USA Kansas middleweight title match on Sept. 30 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark will be Colby Courter vs. Bernard Thomas.

The Mid American super bantamweight title match on Sept. 30 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark will be Sharone Carter vs. John Franklin.

The Kansas and Mid American light heavyweight title match on Sept. 30 will be Deshon Webster vs. Kevin Engel.

Other matches listed for Sept. 30 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark include Steve Brown vs. Bryan Timmons; Drake Heitfield vs. Charles Brown; Juanito Reyes vs. Izzy Smiley; Dylan Fosdick vs. Lavatris Roberson; Bryce Hood vs. Bishop Price; Jack Kleitz vs. Chase Dempsey; Kristoff Thomas vs. Brandon Santana; Sam Shewmaker vs. John Orr; Sharky Slyter vs. Dan Abrams; and Chuka Willis vs. Nathan Denton.

This event shows the versatility of our park,” Chris Browne, T-Bones vice president and general manager, said ina news release. “We’re glad to bring championship professional fighting to KCK and the metro area later this fall. This will be a fun event.”

Tickets are on sale at the Providence Medical Center Box Office and online at T-BonesBaseball.com or call 913-328-5618. Ring side tables are priced at $80 while floor seats are $60. Prime seats will be $40 with general admission tickets going for $20. Suites are also on sale for $375 for a minimum of 15 tickets.

We are excited to be partnering with them and Carden Combat Sports in bringing an outstanding night of fights to CommunityAmerica Ballpark,” said Adam Roorbach, executive director of the Kansas Athletic Commission, in the news release.

Also scheduled are a special appearance at the event by Hasim Rahman and Art Davie, creator of the UFC and subject of the book “Is This Legal.” Gates will open at 6 p.m. with fights starting at 7 p.m.
