KCKCC’s Russell paired with Tom Watson in Watson Challenge Friday

Kansas City Kansas Community College’s only national golf champion, Robert Russell, right, will be paired with PGA Hall of Famer Tom Watson in the first round of the 2018 Watson Challenge at Shadow Glen Friday, June 8. The Midwest PGA Section’s Player of the Year, Russell will join Watson and Travis Mays on the first tee at 8:30 a.m. The NJCAA Division I national champion in 1995, Russell has been inducted into three Halls of Fame – KCKCC Athletic Hall of Fame, UMKC Hall of Fame and the NJCAA Golf Hall of Fame.
