The leaves are changing, and the weather is getting cooler, which means flu season is right around the corner. To help students, faculty, staff and the community stay healthy this winter, Kansas City Kansas Community College is offering two flu shot clinics later this month.
The first clinic is from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 12, and the second is from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18. Both clinics will be in Upper Jewell building on the KCKCC main campus, 7250 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan.
The flu clinic event is open to everyone who is at least 7-years-old, while supplies last. It is sponsored by KCKCC, the Mother and Child Health Coalition, the Mid America Immunization Coalition, the Department of Health and Human Services and Walgreens.
The Flu Shot Clinic is free to students, staff and community members.
