The Kansas City Kansas Community College Wellness and Fitness Center is holding the 24th Annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day event later this month.
The event is from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 31 at the KCKCC Wellness and Fitness Center, which is located just east of the Jewell Center on the KCKCC main campus.
“The KCKCC Wellness and Fitness Center staff is excited to host this event for the community,” said Pam Hall, wellness specialist at the KCKCC Wellness and Fitness Center. “It has been such a positive and fun event in the past years. I feel the presentations can extend information to all ages, but is geared toward the senior community population.”
The Senior Health and Fitness Day features a variety of different workshops including:
• Wake Up and Stretch
• Cravings, Weight Gain and the Blood Sugar Rollercoaster
• Keys to Embracing Aging
• Exercise to Help Your Balance
• Tulip Gardens and Fields in Holland
• Chair Yoga
• Scenic Stroll on the KCKCC Campus
