KCKCC to hold kids Halloween party Friday

by Kelly Rogge, KCKCC

Kansas City Kansas Community College is inviting the families of all staff, faculty and students as well as community members to the annual KCKCC Kids Halloween Party.

The event is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in Lower Jewell building on the KCKCC main campus, 7250 State Ave.

The host is the KCKCC Student Senate and many of the KCKCC clubs, organizations and special interest groups. The night will be filled with fun and engaging activities for children up to 12 years old. Some of the activities include carnival games, a free dinner, crafts, storytelling, animal balloons and more. This is a free event for the entire family.

“KCKCC Student Senate believes in creating an atmosphere that engages the entire family. It is through events like this that we are able to help promote family involvement, positive parenting and building healthy relationships for our students, staff and community,” said Andrica Wilcoxen, director of student activities at KCKCC. “We are excited to see all of the children who will be dressed up in their costumes and to watch them smile and laugh as they build great memories while at Kansas City Kansas Community College.”

  1. This is a great way to get families in to see the campus. When they have a positive association with KCKCC they will be more likely to consider their options for continuing their education
