At long last, Kansas City Kansas Community College is going to play a home softball game.
For the first time in more than three weeks, the Blue Devils will entertain Maple Woods Friday in a doubleheader at 2 and 4 p.m. It’s also the first twin bill in a series of six straight doubleheaders at home and nine of the next 10 dates on a revised Blue Devil schedule.
Because of this spring’s snow and icy conditions, several games have been moved to KCKCC because the college boasts the only all-weather field in the Jayhawk Conference and surrounding area. The revised schedule for March:
Friday, March 8 – Maple Woods, Home, 2-4 p.m.
Monday, March 11 – State Fair, Home, 1-3 p.m.
Wednesday, March 13 – North Dakota School of Science, Home, 2-4 p.m.
Friday, March 15 – Ellsworth CC, 12-2 p.m.
Saturday, March 16 – Cloud County, Home, 1-3 p.m.
Sunday, March 17 – Southwestern CC, 12-2 p.m.
Monday, March 18 – North Arkansas, Away, TBA.
