Three weeks of free baseball camps for youngsters 9 to 12 years of age will be provided at Kansas City Kansas Community College this summer.
“Thanks to a generous donation from a member of the Kansas City Men’s Senior Baseball League, we are able to offer the 2014 KCKCC Baseball Camp free of charge,” said head coach Steve Burleson.
The camps will be offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for three consecutive weeks beginning June 16. The dates are June 16-18, June 23-25 and June 30-July 2. The camps will begin promptly at 9 a.m. each day and conclude at 11:30 a.m. Supervision of campers will continue until noon each day for pickup.
Designed for players and families who have already made a commitment to summer baseball, only youngsters 9 to 12 years of age will be accepted and the number of spaces is limited.
“We are limiting the number of campers to maximize the amount of individual attention for each participant,” Burleson said. “Also, to get the optimum benefit, we are encouraging campers to attend all nine days. If we can work with them for nine days, you will notice a change in their approach to baseball and their approach to life.”
Interested parents need to send the name of the player, the player’s age and the player’s parents contact name and telephone number to Steve Burleson at [email protected] or by calling 913-288-7156.
