The Kansas City Kansas Community College Choral Department is preparing for its last concert of the season.
The concert, entitled #iFusion, is at 5 p.m. May 5 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St. in Kansas City, Kan. It is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature a mix of classical and popular music. This will includes pieces from Bach and Whitacre to music by Pentatonix, Mumford and Sons, Billy Joel, Coldplay and Imogen Heap.
“The concert is a fusion of classical and popular music,” said John Stafford, director of choral activities at KCKCC. “All four vocal ensembles from the college will perform together in one concert, which is very rare during our concert season. It’s a great opportunity to hear the entire Choral Music Program at KCKCC.”
