KCK resident injured in vehicle fire Saturday

A Kansas City, Kansas, resident was injured in a vehicle fire Saturday morning on eastbound I-70 near 7th Street, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

A 27-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, resident was eastbound on I-70 in a Nissan car about 7:47 a.m. when the car began to smoke, according to the trooper’s report.

She pulled over to the inside shoulder, where the car caught fire, the trooper’s report stated.

The Kansas City, Kansas, woman driving the car was injured and was taken to the hospital, the report stated.
