KCK police identify homicide victim

The victim of Tuesday’s homicide in the 1300 block of South 29th Street has been identified as Darrell Krulic, 25, a Kansas City, Kansas, resident, according to the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

A second victim in the double shooting was taken to a hospital where he remains in critical condition, a police spokesman stated.

Police officers were dispatched to the address on a shooting call just before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, according to the spokesman. When officers arrived, they found two males outside a residence, the victims of an apparent shooting, the spokesman stated.

Krulic was pronounced dead at the scene, and the second victim was taken to a hospital, the suspect stated.

A suspect fled before police arrived, the spokesman stated. There was no one in custody as of Wednesday evening.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit is investigating, the spokesman stated. Anyone with information is asked by police to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
