KCK driver’s license office closes because of possible COVID-19 case

The Kansas City, Kansas, driver’s license office has temporarily closed because of a suspected COVID-19 case, according to a state spokesman.

The office at 155 S. 18th St. will be temporarily closed on Friday, July 24, according to the Kansas Department of Revenue.

The closure is following state health guidelines for cleaning after a suspected COVID-19 case, according to the spokesman.

Anyone who has an appointment scheduled with the Kansas City, Kansas, office may go to a nearby driver’s license office at the scheduled time, according to the spokesman. These offices include 6507 Johnson Drive, Mission; 13507 S. MurLen Road, Suite 137, Olathe; 7600 W. 119th St., Suite D, Overland Park; 111 B Delaware St., Leavenworth; and 1035 N. 3rd St., Suite 119, Lawrence.

The Kansas City, Kansas, office will reopen on Monday, July 27, the KDOR spokesman stated.
