KCK driver involved in I-70 accident

A Kansas City, Kan., driver was in an accident at 1:35 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, on eastbound I-70.

According to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report, the accident happened near Lawrence, Kan., on I-70.

When he was making a lane change, the Kansas City, Kan., driver struck a GMC Envoy and went into the wall, the trooper’s report stated.

The Chrysler Pacifica driven by the 60-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man came to rest on the right shoulder, and the Envoy also stopped on the right shoulder, the report stated.

The driver of the Envoy, a 24-year-old man from Big Lake, Minn., was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the report.

The Kansas City, Kan., driver was not injured.
