It’s race weekend at Kansas Speedway

Race weekend has arrived at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.

The racetrack will be the host for events on Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15.

The Heart of America 200 and Dutch Boy 150 doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14.

The AdventHealth 400 NASCAR Series Cup race will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15.

The Camping World Truck Series race at 7 p.m. May 14 was renamed the Heart of America 200 by an employee contest held at AdventHealth, according to a Kansas Speedway news release. More than 600 entries were received in the contest.

Jeff Sluder, laboratory director at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, submitted the winning name entry.

The Dutch Boy 150 in the ARCA Menards Series will start the racing weekend action at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14.

At 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, the NASCAR Cup Series AdventHealth 400 will take place.

Ross Chastain, a NASCAR driver, will drive the AdventHealth Chevrolet in the race.

Chastain also will join campers in walking around the Kansas Speedway’s track at 6 p.m. Friday, May 13.
