A driver was injured in a collision on southbound I-35 about noon Feb. 9 in Wyandotte County, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
The accident happened 300 feet southeast of 7th Street Trafficway and I-35, according to the trooper’s report.
A 2015 Freightliner semi and a 2000 Nissan Altima were southbound on I-35 when the semi struck the rear of the Altima, according to the trooper’s report.
The Altima then spun around and struck the side of the trailer pulled by the semi, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Altima, a 42-year-old woman from Kansas City, Mo., was injured and taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Mo., according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the semi, a 47-year-old woman from Plains, Ga., was not injured, the report stated. A passenger in the semi, a 40-year-old woman from Harvey, Ill., also was not injured, according to the report.
