A Honda Accord eastbound on I-70 went off the wet roadway and hit a bridge pillar on Monday morning, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
The crash at 9:05 a.m. April 18 was east of the I-435 exit on I-70.
According to the trooper’s report, the driver was traveling too fast for the conditions, went off the road to the right, and struck a sign and bridge pillar.
The driver, a 21-year-old man from Bonner Springs, was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated.
