An injury crash was reported about 2:08 p.m. Dec. 23 on I-435 northbound south of Parallel Parkway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
A Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup truck and a Chrysler Grand Caravan were northbound on I-435 when the Chrysler slowed down for traffic ahead and the pickup truck ran into its back, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 24-year-old woman from McLouth, Kan., was not injured, according to the report.
The driver of the Chrysler, a 38-year-old woman from Leavenworth, Kan., had a possible injury and was taken to the hospital, the report stated.
A 34-year-old Oak Grove, Mo., man in the Chrysler was not injured, according to the report.
An 18-year-old Leavenworth, Kan., woman in the Chrysler was also taken to the hospital with a possible injury, the report said.
A 2-year-old Leavenworth, Kan., girl in the Chrysler was also taken to the hospital with a possible injury, according to the trooper’s report.
A 9-year-old Leavenworth, Kan., boy in the Chrysler was taken to the hospital with a possible injury, the report stated.
A 7-year-old Leavenworth, Kan., boy also was taken to the hospital with a possible injury, according to the report.
