Possible injury in three-car accident
Three cars were stopped at a red light in a construction zone on K-7 southbound at I-70 in Wyandotte County when a rear-end accident occurred.
The accident, at 10:35 a.m. July 28, occurred when a 2011 Dodge Avenger started too soon and rear-ended a 2008 Jeep sport utility vehicle, pushing it into a Ford F250 pickup truck, the report from a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper said.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 39-year-old man from Leavenworth, Kan., had a possible injury, the report stated.
The driver of the Dodge, a 45-year-old woman from Topeka, Kan., was not injured. The driver of the Jeep, a 45-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo., was not injured, according to the report.
Semi rear-ends car on I-70
A 2011 Dodge Charger slowed for traffic on I-70 near the exit to I-435 at 7:38 a.m. July 28 and was rear-ended by a semi, according to a trooper’s report from the Kansas Turnpike Authority.
The driver of the Dodge, a 45-year-old woman from Eudora, Kan., was injured, according to the report.
The driver of the semi, a 58-year-old man from Wichita, Kan., was not injured, the report stated.
